1. Agreement to Terms

By accessing or using the ConfidenceConnect website (confidenceconnect.app) or the ConfidenceConnect mobile application (the "Services"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use our Services.

2. Important Disclaimer

This app is not a substitute for professional mental health treatment.

ConfidenceConnect is an educational and self-help tool based on cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) principles. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. If you are experiencing severe anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, or other mental health crises, please contact a licensed therapist or call the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

Use of our Services does not create a therapist-patient relationship. Consult a licensed mental health professional for clinical diagnosis and treatment.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use our Services. Our App contains content related to dating, mental health, and adult relationships. By using our Services, you represent that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use our Services only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Services to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Use the Services to promote manipulative, predatory, or disrespectful dating tactics
  • Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our App or Website
  • Use automated systems (bots, scrapers) to access our Services without permission
  • Violate any applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

5. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of our Website and App, including text, graphics, logos, and software, are owned by ConfidenceConnect and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

6. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Our Services are provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind
  • We do not guarantee that our Services will meet your expectations or produce any particular outcome
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of our Services
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (or $100 if greater)

Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages; in such cases, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ConfidenceConnect, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of our Services or violation of these Terms.

Our Services may contain links to third-party websites (e.g., App Store, therapist directories). We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites. Your use of third-party services is at your own risk.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Services shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.

10. Changes to Terms

We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of our Services after changes constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree to the new Terms, discontinue use of our Services.
